Cyber Block 2.1.1: Bits, a Shop, Diwali Skins and a Gentler First Five Minutes

Yesterday we shipped Cyber Block Puzzle: Neon Grid 2.1.1 (build 20009) on Google Play. After v2 rebuilt the game as a 3D stacking puzzle, this update is about what happens after you win a level and how the first few levels feel.

Every win now pays Bits

Bits are the game's soft currency. You spend them on boosters (Undo, Swap, Hammer, Layer Bomb) or on skins. Boosters are earned by playing, and nothing is behind a paywall. There is still an optional rewarded ad if you want to double your Bits, but you never have to watch one.

Three skins, one with a Diwali hook

Neon is the default look. Diya is a warm festival glow made for Diwali (800 Bits), and Candy is bright and sweet (1,000 Bits). Diwali falls on Sunday 8 November, so there is time to earn Bits and have Diya ready.

A guided start

The first levels now ask less of you at once. Boosters appear one at a time, as you reach levels where they help. If you are a single move short, the game gives you a nudge instead of letting you stare at the board.

A neon-dusk look

The cubes are brighter and the backdrop is new, so the board stays readable on small, budget phones.

What has not changed

There is no timer and no falling pieces. It still has 45 hand-built levels, plays fully offline, and the download is 38.6 MB.

For the developers

This is a Godot 3D game shipped by a small team, and the release went out with 1,156 automated tests passing. The previous build was 100% crash-free in its first week (Crashlytics, 23-30 September). We do not have retention numbers for 2.1.1 yet. We will share what we learn after the first week or two.
