Cookie Policy

Last updated

This page lists every cookie this site can set, what each one is for, and how to change your mind. It is deliberately exhaustive — if a cookie is not on this list, we are not setting it.

The short version

We set one small cookie to remember a display preference, and nothing else, unless you press Accept on the cookie banner. If you press Decline — or never touch the banner at all — no analytics or advertising cookie is ever set, and no request is made to Google or Meta. The site works exactly the same either way; there is no content locked behind accepting.

Strictly necessary cookies

These are set without consent because the site cannot remember your choices without them.

Always active
CookiePurposeExpires
anahata-consentStores whether you accepted or declined analytics, so we do not show you the banner on every page. Its value is only ever the word “granted” or “denied”.1 year
anahata-motionRemembers whether you chose the animated “dive” home page or the flat, reduced-motion version. It contains no personal data.1 year

Analytics cookies

These are only set after you press Accept. Until then the scripts that set them are not added to the page at all.

Only after consent
Set byPurposeExpires
Google Analytics 4Cookies beginning _ga. Tell us how many people visited, which pages they read, and roughly where in the world they were. We see aggregate reports, not individuals.Up to 2 years
Google Tag ManagerLoads and manages the tags above. It does not set its own tracking cookie, but it is what puts the others on the page.Session
Meta PixelCookies beginning _fbp. Measure whether people who saw one of our posts on Facebook or Instagram went on to visit a game page.Up to 3 months

Google and Meta act as independent controllers for the data these tags collect. Their own privacy policies govern what they do with it.

Changing your mind

Your choice is stored only in the anahata-consent cookie in your own browser. To change it, clear this site's cookies (in most browsers: the padlock icon in the address bar → cookies and site data → delete). The banner will appear again on your next visit and you can choose differently.

Declining after previously accepting stops any further data being sent. Cookies already set by Google or Meta are removed when you clear the site's cookies as described above.

Embedded content

Game trailers are embedded from YouTube, but they are not loaded until you actually click play — until then you are only looking at a thumbnail image served from our own domain. When you do click play, the embed uses YouTube's no-cookie domain, which avoids setting tracking cookies unless you interact further with the player.
