Welcome to Anahata Interactive: Building Games Rooted in Indian Stories
Anahata Interactive Private Limited is an MSME-registered, India-based Unity game development studio building mobile games rooted in Indian culture and everyday life. In a little over a year, we've shipped five titles to the Google Play Store: Cyber Block Puzzle: Neon Grid, Idle Plants: Merge & Garden, Gridly, Mithai Masti: Sweet Match Game, and Train Ride: Indian Rail Tycoon.
Four of these five games share a common thread — India's festivals, gardens, sweets, and railways — because we believe the most resonant games for Indian players are the ones that feel like home. Alongside our own titles, our team brings hands-on expertise in Unity, Firebase, and Google AdMob, and we've recently opened that expertise up to other studios and founders through a new game development services offering — covering everything from playable ad prototyping to full Unity fix-and-ship engagements.
We're building at a genuinely exciting moment for gaming in India. The country crossed roughly 488 million online gamers in 2024, climbing to an estimated 517 million in 2025 — nearly a fifth of the world's online gaming population. The market itself, valued at about $3.7 billion in 2024, is projected to reach $9.1 billion by 2029 (a ~19.6% CAGR), with some longer-range estimates putting India's gaming economy closer to $60 billion by 2034.
India is also overwhelmingly mobile-first: over 90% of gamers — more than 532 million people — play primarily on smartphones, which is exactly where Anahata's games live. Casual and mid-core genres dominate downloads, with simulation games leading at roughly 22% of downloads, followed by arcade at 19% and puzzle at 16%, even as shooter titles punch above their weight in revenue, driving close to half of all in-app purchase spending.
The industry is scaling its workforce just as fast: India's gaming sector employed an estimated 130,000 people across more than 1,888 companies as of recent counts, with projections suggesting that could grow past 2 million jobs by 2034. For a young studio like ours, that's the backdrop — a massive, mobile-first, culturally distinct market that's still early in writing its own playbook, and we're glad to be building games, and now services, inside it.
Whether you're a player who's downloaded one of our games, a fellow founder in the Indian gaming ecosystem, or a studio looking for an extra pair of hands on your next Unity build — welcome. We're just getting started, and we're excited to have you along.
